To provide some additional background, my name is Fady Sarmini. I was born in the USA but lived and grew up most of my adult life in Syria. Due to the Syrian civil war, I started my US career at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) within the firm’s Financial Services Office (focused on Banking & Capital Market clients) as a part of the Tax Technology and Transformation team. More recently, I joined our Financial Close Performance Management (FCPM) team within our technology consulting practice and continue to hone my performance, leadership and team building skills. I have 15+ years of international experience in Banking, Financial Services, Oil & Gas, real estate, retail and other sectors as a part of my role at EY, focused on project management, managed services (functional outsourcing models), international tax advisory services related to FATCA, CDOT and CRS and supporting clients with large-scale finance transformations related to digital record-to-report and close processes by enabling clients to leverage vendor solutions such as BlackLine and Oracle Account Reconciliations Cloud Service (ARCS).
