I am submitting my resume for consideration as your new sales manager. I have over 25 years of experience as a successful sales manager with a proven record of achieving goals. Most of my accomplishments can be attributed to hiring the right people, continued training on the art and science of the sales process and continually keeping staff motivated and excited about their job.
Over the last 2 decades my experience includes changing industries multiple times without missing a beat. I have been in telecommunications, manufacturing and most recently an agent/owner with Farmers Insurance. It is clear to me that product knowledge is important and usually easy to learn, but the ability to motivate and educate sales people of all experience levels is a talent that takes a finer touch.
When I started at RCN in 2004, I inherited the worst sales office in the nation. Within 6 months, we were number 1 and stayed there my whole tenure effectively managing 20 sales reps. I started at Farmers in 2009 as a scratch agent and built annual revenue of over $1million. Through the course of my time with Farmers, I have trained and managed inside sales reps, outside producers and customer service reps.
