My biggest passions are (1) building healthy communities, and (2) working to create a bright and sustainable future for the planet. These two focuses are at the core of my work as a nonprofit development manger and sustainability expert. I am an eternal optimist and an enthusiastic collaborator. I am convinced that if enough people work together with a shared vision, anything can be accomplished. I am always looking for new ways to innovate, collaborate, and work to implement new ideas that will optimize systems and increase efficiencies. My corporate nonprofit experience has given me the opportunity to become proficient in many areas, including: • Fundraising • Donor and stakeholder relations • Strategic planning • Project management • Event planning In both my personal and professional life, I am obsessed with gardening and nature in general. This has driven me to become an expert in sustainability. Having recently competed a master’s degree in sustainability, I am also passionate about becoming more immersed in communities that care about making a difference. My main areas of interest in sustainability include: • ESG data collection and analysis • DEI initiatives • Recycling and waste management • Stakeholder management and training • Innovative and green building design • Community gardening and food security • Radical innovation I am an avid learner and explorer. I am currently studying to get certified in GRI and LEED. I am also working hard to learn more about food security and organic gardening. Additionally, I have travelled to nearly a dozen countries in work-related roles over the last decade, including three years in South Korea as a community coordinator and translator. This experience allowed me to become fluent in Korean. In my current role, I frequently travel to Mexico and am working hard on achieving fluency in Spanish as well. I am an out of the box thinker and a huge people person. I love learning about new concepts and new cultures. I believe in loving what you do and in having a great time while doing it.
