Palmer Group was founded in 1998 to change Iowa’s employment landscape by becoming the state’s premier employment agency.

We believe it is important for you to know who we are and why we exist. Our staff is excited about what we get to do every day, and this comes from our purpose. Our purpose impacts our vision, which then leads to the values and principles that guide our daily decisions. As we grow and expand, these are the elements of our business that will remain constant.

As a team of over 70 professionals, we have an incredible amount of passion for our jobs. It goes without saying that we love what we do. But we are not just employment experts, we are also self-proclaimed dog-whisperers, hula hoop specialists, professional parallel-parkers, and movie critics (to name a few). 

When the decision was made in 2016 to become an employee-owned company, this opportunity combined the legacy of an ownership mentality with an ESOP structure (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). When a business becomes an ESOP, employees have a personal stake in the business because they can now gain shares in that company. This can give employee owners a sense of empowerment and a shared vision of success.

Throughout our history, one thing has always remained the same: we are constantly excited by the work we do on behalf of our many clients and job seekers around the state. We have helped a lot of businesses find better people and helped a lot of people do better for themselves. And for that, we have garnered great recognition from the local business community.
