Corona Crisis: How iRecruit is responding?

Talent Marketplace Team:

Please understand that there is a lot of uncertainty during these difficult times and many employers are making changes. We have noticed a drop in traffic from employers and a significant increase of traffic from candidates. We expect this to have an effect on the flow of new opportunities. For example, we have seen all the "Speaking Engagements" cancelled in the past two weeks and have started noticing a drop in new Full-time opportunities. It is too early to forecast the length or severity of this crisis but we want to assure our members that we are doing everything possible to stay one step ahead of this changing situation. Here are some of the steps we are taking to help candidates and recruiters who are part of our network:

  • We are going to change our approval criteria for new members to balance the number of candidates with new opportunities. If the demand from candidates continues to be overwhelming, we may decide to freeze or restrict new registrations temporarily. This change will not affect current members and we will not be terminating or limiting accounts of current members.
  • We are in constant contact with our entire network of recruiters and will continue to work with them during these difficult times. We are reducing our split placement fees structure and instead of charging recruiters 50% commission on successful placements, we are reducing our commission rate to 25%. We have also waived the annual membership fees charged to recruiters for the entire year. We want to use this opportunity to strengthen our relationships with recruiters further.
  • We will be prioritizing our efforts to support members who are most affected, especially those who lose their jobs. We will offer additional services and outplacement help at no cost, including direct introductions with recruiters and employers who are part of our network.
  • We will continue to monitor market conditions closely and will do everything necessary to support our recruiters and candidates.

We have been through similar challenges after September 2001 terrorist attacks and during 2008 financial crisis. Because of our experience, knowledge and relationships we are well equipped to handle this crisis. Our relationships with thousands of recruiters will strengthen further and our visibility in search engines like Google.com will continue to grow.

We are ready to help our members in any way we can so please reach out to them and ask them what we can do for them!
